RJ did some musical theater in his tweens and teens and sang operatic roles on-stage in music school, but never thought of himself as an actor until performing in his story-driven music videos awakened his love for acting. He booked the first job he auditioned for and has worked steadily on stage and screen since then. In his first year as a working actor RJ played supporting or lead roles in two plays, one musical, two films, and a commercial. In the title role of “Visiting Mr. Green” (by Jeff Baron) Joel Meriwether lauded RJ’s performance, writing: “His portrayal of an 87-year-old is nothing more than astonishing. I absolutely believed every breath he took.”

Between jobs, RJ continues to hone and perfect his craft by doing intensive scene study with coach Katy Arnold (4th Wall Studio) and on-camera technique with coach Alan Dysert (The Actor’s School).
